My first step was to choose stimulus which was quite difficult because I had a lot of ideas and it was hard to choose just one of them. My choreography will be about stress, moral and physical pain. This Idea came to me after our show at the college. Because I was so exhausted physically and morally I thought I will show all my pain and all my feelings in my choreography.

My second step was to choose dancers who will be able to express feelings which I want to show to the audience and also who is technical in contemporary dance and who will be able to work hard and to listen carefully. Unfortunately this time I had bad experience with choosing dancers. Firstly I have picked 2 dancers from level 3 year 2 but then one of them changed his mind and I had to replace him with another dancer. After I picked Frankie form Level 3 year 1 but after a while I understood that it’s not going to work with them and I have totally changed my mind. Now I have one dancer from HND year 1/2 and another dancer from HND year 2 and the third dancer is I.

My third step was to find music without words and which will link to my stimulus and will inspire me to create the piece. I wanted to choose music with calm beginning and calm end and quite intensive mid music. After some time I found music to fit my criteria, however, after quite long time it didn’t inspire me anymore and I changed it again to absolutely different song. Eventually my choice is Ólafur Arnalds – Out to see.

My fourth step was to start making moves and structure of the piece. My piece is divided into 3 part. First part is solo which is going into the duet and then the duet is going into the trio. At the end of the choreography I have planned to leave one dancer at the stage. At the beginning I want a lot of people going through the stage in one direction, looking down at their feet when at one point one of my dancers will turn to go in another direction and looking up to the ceiling.
