Singing in the Show

In this term we had an opportunity to show ourselves in different sides and show our other talents besides dancing. My other talent is singing and I didn't perform on stage for a long time. So I wasn't sure of myself and was really nervous about it.

Our theme was darker side of fairy tales and I had to find a dark and maybe sinister song. I found two but Lucy decided that "Once Upon A Dream by Lana Del Ray" is perfect and told me to start practice at home. I didn't like how I sounded at home because it was too low for me so I had to increase the tone and a speed. When I sang in theater for the first time I enjoyed singing and I felt really inspired.

When we started to think how and where should I sing, Lucy had an idea to put me above the audience. I was veeery excited and pleased that I'm not going to be on stage and singing in front of them. Although I thought I'm going to be scared when I'll go up there, I totally didn't and even the opposite, I enjoyed being there and didn't want to go down.

I also had a challenge with going up there during someones performance in the dark with the mic. It was actually scary for me but Juls gave me a small torch so I could see where i'm going. Actually darkness was my friend for this performance. When I was standing up there and I had to sing to the audience I couldn't see a thing because at that time the light was shinning straight into my eyes.

The only one thing I would've probably change is my costume. My costume was long black dress which was good but It would look better if I had dress even longer and it would've hung down to the audience.
