Ornella's choreography.

Everything started in January when all dance students received a task to create a choreography for a group or solo. Ornella ( HND Dance Student ) asked me if I can be in her group choreography and I said yes straight away because I know that she is a very good dancers and I also like her style and technique.
In first two or three weeks we learn't whole choreography but then she made a few corrections and also changed people who were dancing. In this first three weeks it was very hard for me to dance because I was trying to move as she did but then later on I realized that it's impossible and not right. After that I tried to dance as myself, as my body feel, as my body want and it worked I started to feel much confident and a lot of things started to get better. I enjoyed dancing her choreography although sometimes it was very challenging for me, but I didn't and still don't like the music she choose. This music totally fits this choreography but for me this music is really annoying and sometimes hurt to listen so I don't feel this song therefore I can't insight into it and I doesn't inspire me.
This choreography consist of four parts: Sandra's Solo, Trio ( Ornella, Shakira instead of Phoebe and Myself ), quartet ( Sandra, Ornella, Shakira and Myself ), Duet (Ornells and Sandra )
Our costumes are dresses shape A which also are different colors. I have bright blue dress which is very nice color but if I was buying it then I probably would've bought dark blue or dark green.
This choreography helped me to notice my weaknesses and strengths but mostly my weaknesses.
My weaknesses are:
Endurance or stamina
Moves which are out of balance
My weight
Sometimes accuracy
My strengths are:
Remembering repertoire
Turns
Flexibility ( but still not enough )
After an assessment she was told to do this piece in the show. I was very proud and happy for Ornella. But now it was a lot of pressure on her and us because we had to do our own show with our group and also her choreography. Fortunately Ornella was assured us so we didn't rehearse until week before an actual show which made our life easier.
