First week of Rehearsal period ( term 2 )

Our first week of Rehearsal period we started with little workshop with Emmeline where we did exercises on falling and flying. We did about 4 exercises and then moved on to the new task which Emmeline set up for us. The task was to create a small piece about falling and flying where we should lift each other and fall in different ways, with the partner which Emmeline choose for us.
I felt a little bit confused because it was a second time when I had to work and create small routine with someone and also to touch and be close to each other. But in my opinion I did quite well even though it was new for me.
We didn't talk about the stimulus of our show, so all we knew was, we will dance about falling and flying.
Next day we started to learn new material for our main choreography.
We have learned 2 new routines and recalled and repeated one more from our assessment in contemporary class, so by the end of the day we knew 3 small pieces of choreography.
I was surprised with Emmeline's choice of music because she always uses calm and classical music but this time she uses remix of Ludovico Einaudi - Experience with a lot of hard beat in it.
The choreography itself is not hard and not easy. I like Emmeline's style and her dynamic but for me her moves is a little bit uncomfortable to do and to understand. Although I don't feel comfortable to do it now I hope that by the end of Rehearsal period it will be much easier for me to do.
We also did another task with Emmeline, but this time we had to create routine within a small group of people and we also had style and dynamic which we had to stick to. I really enjoyed doing this task because our style was lyrical contemporary which I really like. So we've done our choreography’s, we showed it to Emmeline and she told us her feedback.
On our last day of this week we continued our preparation for the show, but today we were rehearsing with Jassmine. Our choreography with Jasmine is about blind people and how they support each other.
Today we did about half of our dance and the last task we had to do was to create a small piece in the group of 5 people where we had to choose either one or more people who will be "blind" and we will support them/he/her by doing lifting or connections with this person or people.
We did our routine quite fast because in our group we had one person who was smaller than everyone else so we can lift her easily. After we decided who will be the "blind" I told everyone else my idea to do stairs of the people and the main person will climb on the top of us. Jasmine really liked our idea and helped us to make it come true.
We also did connections between everyone in the group and I think it looks very nice, but we still need finish it.
