Day 7 Collaborative Performance Project.

So today was very interesting, fun and busy day. Firstly I had half an hour of technique lesson with Emmeline when afterwards I had a rehearsal with HND student for her choreography and then we had a small performance in the theatre.

In the technique lesson we learnt a new plié phrase which was quite hard to do especially in the morning. Emmeline explained to us how to do plié correctly and also to use our muscle to make it easier for us.

Ornella’s choreography which I was part of was very hard for me at the beginning but after a while I understood that I don’t have to do it as Ornella does, I have to be myself. I’m not telling that I was going to change the movements but I change the way I was doing them and it was definitely the right decision. I felt more confident and also since that moment it got much easier for me to dance.

I also have new very exciting project coming up with Frankie. She asked me to do her showreel and her portfolio for an auditions in different companies. She knew that I love doing photography and love working with camera. Although I didn’t do videography yet, I really look forward to try. I asked Jules if he can help me to film it and Frankie asked Lucy to help her to crate choreography. We also found an amazing place to film in and we already took pictures of that place to then watch from which angle to film and how we can you a space.

We didn’t decide which song she want to use and still don’t have choreography done but next week we had to film it so we have a lot of things to do and I really glad that Frankie trusted me.

If everything goes alright we have to have choreography done by this Thursday and then I can work on angle and depth in the shoots which is also very excitatory.

In the afternoon with Lucy we had two hour lesson where we had a long chat about our stimulus and about a context of the piece which we’re making. It was quite confusing at the beginning and I’m still confused now but at least I had an idea of what we going to do. For now I have to do a research on 3 fairy tales which I like or interested in- their darkest side, maybe original story and how did they come to an artist mind or perhaps it was a real story form their life’s.
